LUXURY FASHION FINISHING

This workshop is designed to give you the same on-set magazine experience Tearsheet is known for. The workshop focuses more on building your portfolio with images of formally-dressed hair from celebrity red carpet to fashionable evening event – regardless of your current skill level knowing how to finish hair is a must in this industry.

In the salon, your images as a product shelf talkers will boost product sales. Utilize images in the salon trend book in the waiting area, or use the images as inspirations for your guests to help guide them to the perfect look for that perfect night.

Editorially, the finished images placed in your portfolio will demonstrate your talent to both photographers and agents. Either way, your skill level will be showcased in gorgeous, photographed images on signed NY models, photographed along with a team of NYC based freelance artists there to support you, your talent, and your business.

*** The Tearsheet Artistic team is consistently producing backstage teams for the Bridal Fashion shows. An added bonus: this workshop will help you to be best prepared for NYC Bridal Fashion Week when Tearsheet turns to its Artistic Team for backstage support.

INTRO TO EDITORIAL MAKEUP with MAC COSMETICS

TEARSHEET is happy to announce that we have teamed with leading fashion makeup company MAC Cosmetics to offer training in on-set quality makeup skills as well. Also a NYC-based company, MAC is known in the fashion and beauty industry for their makeup quality, celebrity endorsements, and education, and the company recognizes the level of education to which we facilitate our classes. MAC sees a definite importance and impact in the education Tearsheet offers its artists and its Artistic Network.

This class will hold all the same quality characteristics of being on a magazine photo shoot Tearsheet is known for. Learn hands-on fashion and beauty techniques from leading freelance MAC makeup artists and experience how training in on-set makeup at photo shoots can ramp up your skill level. This is a great stepping off point for those artists just starting or interested in providing makeup to their salon guests or thinking of increasing business with add-on makeup services to brides and guests hitting the town. It is also a great way to increase your credibility with photographers and agents alike, showcasing dynamic creative ability. Your images can be used to market your own skills and techniques as well as building upon the services the salon offers to its guests.

EDITORIAL 3 DAY ADVANCED - N.Y.C.

TEARSHEET offers you a 3 day submersion experience working hands-on with highly sought after, New York City based editorial hairstylist Giovanni Giuntoli and the world renown Tearsheet artistic team. Our team wants you to have the same experience they have everyday on set. We get artists to see their work photographed, as if in magazines, and gracing the red carpet! We offer 2 : 1 ratio attendees to educators.

In 3 days, our Tearsheet team, will have you shooting your hairstyles on your own models, and working with professional artists. Get the photography help, guidance, and education you need to raising your hairstyles to magazine level. The knowledge and techniques shared are perfect for any hairstylist wanting to work on magazine shoots and your hairstylists wanting to expend on their talent and eye, for their clients in the salon.

Level Up Workshop (Graduates Only)

If you have attended a Tearsheet workshop and feel its time to step up your styling, the Level Up Workshop is the one for you. The workshop is designed for those graduate artists ready to take the next step in hairstyling. 3 days of shooting and sharing on a more intensive scale. We know artists have to challenge themselves in order to rise to the next level so here it is.

Receive coaching and guidance from the team geared to hone your craft and skills. Attendees will not only receive coaching but will also be asked to share their thoughts on everyone’s work with others in the workshop. Learn not only by what you do but also the how’s and why’s. Education in the Level Up Workshop doesn’t start on the first day, it starts upon sign up. Before the workshop attendees will be asked to deliver their own imagery to receive personalized guidance from the team.

ADVANCED EXTENSIONS

Hair extensions are not just for celebrities. We all see extensions and hair systems in magazines, runways, and on the red carpet, its that we can’t tell because of how the extensions are used and hidden within the persons existing hair.

Its a huge business both in salons and out. Stylists everywhere make a great income just working with hair extensions, pieces, and system. If a client or model walked in, would you be prepared to work with what they have in their hair or to add more?

Editorial hairstylists huge tons of hair extensions to add body and volume, length and movement. Be coached by some of the industry’s top editorial hairstylists as they share multiple ways of working, attaching, and styling with extensions. Learn the importance of extensions and hair systems on set and how they could bring in a lot of revenue in the salon.

Work closely with coaches for day 1 and day 2. Day 3 is where you will put your skills to the test and style on models. Using top quality hair extension which we provide. You will work with models, photographers, makeup artists, and clothing stylists to create the hairstyles best suited for the look you are going to be photographing. You will create at least 2 different styles and shoot all of them. You can use the photos in your portfolio and to promote your business. Artistic Director Giovanni Giuntoli’s hometown is Chicago and we all look forward to working with his network. Chicago has a vast history and lends itself for easy and beauty

We know what comes to mind when you read LAS VEGAS. The strip, bright lights, and poker. For this workshop we are aiming to stay away from all that and get into the gorgeous

colors and surroundings of the desert, red rock mountains and environment. You will shoot amongst all of this serene beauty and capture not only the background but breath taking hairstyles. Hair that blows in the wind and compliments the textures and feeling it provides.

Modeled after our world renown NYC workshop with all the networking and education, this workshop brings you to the lonely desert but you will definitely be amongst friends and coaches not to mention models, photographers, and makeup artists.

3 days in Las Vegas with the Tearsheet team capturing photos in an environment that has so much to offer. Red rock mountains, blue sky, and a background which goes on forever to name just a few characteristics. Learn, from the Tearsheet Artistic Team, the techniques to work with elements from flat deserts to sky scraping red mountains.

Due to the level of quality and experience we offer to all of our attendees, all portions of tuitions go to securing location, studio, models, catering, team, etc. Deposits are “roll over” after 48 hours from processing payment for reservation. Deposit credits not applied to a workshop within 1 year will expire. Cancelled reservations will be prorated according to the time frame to which the reservation is cancelled within.

For all reservations cancelled within 60 days of workshop a deposit of $1300 will not be refunded under any circumstance.
